What hospitals do your providers go to?
Dr. Winburn-Antovoni, Dr. Bush and Dr. Jensen are on staff at Advent Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Advent South Overland Park. The hospital will contact us once your baby is born and they will come visit you and your baby in the hospital.
What if I am not delivering at one of these hospitals?
A pediatrician who is on staff at that hospital will visit you and your baby while you are in the hospital. Please call us to set up an appointment as soon as the baby is born. We would like to see the baby within 24-48 hours of being discharged from the hospital.
Can I meet our doctor before my baby is born?
Yes! Dr. Winburn-Antovoni, Dr. Bush and Dr. Jensen offer complementary prenatal appointments. Please call our office to set one up.
I am expecting a baby boy and would like to have him circumcised; who performs the circumcision?
One of our physicians will perform the circumcision during your hospital stay.
Should my baby receive the Hepatitis B vaccination in the hospital?
Yes, we do recommend that your baby receive this immunization while he/she is in the hospital. If you choose to wait, the immunization can be given at the baby’s first appointment at our office.
Is there any paperwork I need to fill out before my baby is born?
No, you will not need to complete any paperwork before the baby is born. Please provide your chosen doctor’s name to the maternity coordinator at the hospital where you will be delivering and they will contact us once your baby is born.
When/how do I schedule my baby’s first appointment?
Please call our office once the baby has been born, and we will assist you with scheduling your baby’s first appointment. We would like to see the baby in our office within 24 to 48 hours of being discharged from the hospital. Please note that we do make sure that all new babies are worked into the provider’s schedule, so there is no need worry about your doctor’s availability.
