With that mission in mind, our practice has some exciting developments that will enable us to provide the outstanding healthcare that your children deserve as they grow and change from birth to young adults.
We are proud to announce that effective 03.01.23, our practice is becoming an affiliate clinic of Children’s Mercy Hospital, one of the nation’s top hospitals dedicated to pediatric care and research. We expect this affiliation to strengthen our access to a vast network of pediatric specialists and keep us on the forefront of clinical research, assuring your children receive the most current, evidence – based, and state of the art preventative and diagnostic care. With all of the changes in healthcare, it has also become necessary for us to evaluate and adjust our fees for service in keeping with the allowable benefits provided by insurance payers. You may see this reflected in future Explanation of Benefit (EOB) statements from your respective insurance company and statements from our office. While it is not our intention to raise costs for our patient families, we realize that the impact of increasing our charges may trickle down to you simply as a result of the prevalence of higher deductible insurance plans or those plans which impose higher cost – sharing obligations or additional out of pocket costs for care. Should you encounter a financial hardship related to a medical bill from us, contact our billing department at (913) 735-2829. Our billing staff is always here to help you understand the benefits associated with your specific insurance plan and can assist you with flexible payment options if that is necessary.
